Nicolás Afonso is Head of IT and Digital at Verdian Power. His profile combines solid technical training, strategic vision, and executive capability, with a results-oriented approach focused on delivering measurable and sustainable outcomes. His career has developed in international environments, leading multicultural teams and managing projects across multiple countries.

Prior to joining Verdian, he served as Chief Transformation & Technology Officer at ABEI Energy, where he led a comprehensive organisational and technological transformation. Among his achievements were the creation of a digital innovation and continuous improvement ecosystem, which included the development of over twenty AI agents, the implementation of a CRM across eight markets in just five months, and an integrated portfolio management system. These initiatives led to efficiency and effectiveness improvements exceeding 30% within teams in just one year, achieving a full return on investment across the department in less than six months.

Previously, he was CEO and founder of Tadibox (a Transformation and Innovation consultancy), Director at LeanBest Group, Executive Advisor at MigratiON Digital Partners, and held leadership positions at MetLife Iberia, Isban (Santander Group) and Accenture, gaining extensive experience across sectors including energy, finance, retail, industry, technology, and services.

He combines his professional career with teaching in executive programmes and specialised courses on digital transformation, technological innovation, and IT project management, collaborating with the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, ICAI/Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and other institutions.

Nicolás holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from ICAI, with executive education from IESE and ISDI.
