Maria Fernanda
Maria Fernanda is Verdian Power’s Financial Modeler. She brings extensive experience in financial modeling, investment analysis and valuation, increasingly focused on the renewable energy sector.
Before joining Verdian Power, Maria Fernanda was a Manager in the M&A and Valuation team at Grant Thornton, where she led financial modeling and transactions for mid- to large-cap companies across multiple industries. Her earlier experience includes roles as an investment professional in venture capital and alternative assets, with a focus on early-stage technology startups and global fund strategies.
Maria Fernanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and completed an academic exchange at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She has complemented her education with international programs, including the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Bootcamp at MIT and a Private Equity and Venture Capital course at Università Bocconi. She also holds the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst certification from CFI.
She has been involved in initiatives such as Mujeres Invirtiendo, which promotes female leadership in venture capital and private equity in Latin America.
