Lucía Fuentes Ezquerra is the Chief Revenue Officer at Verdian Power. She brings over 17 years of experience in the European energy sector, specializing in energy markets, trading, risk management, and digital transformation.

Throughout her career, she has overseen risk management, portfolio optimization, and revenue forecasting, ensuring that assets are strategically positioned for long-term profitability. She has also actively participated in structuring and negotiating PPAs, defining pricing strategies, and implementing hedging mechanisms to manage market exposure.

Prior to joining Verdian, Lucía served as the Power Markets Director at Renewable Power Capital, where she led the company’s energy markets strategy across multiple European regions. Her career path includes other key roles such as Head of Market Intelligence for Gas, Power, and Emissions Trading at CEPSA and her position as Lead European Power Trading Analyst at BP PLC. These roles, combined with her 8 years at EDF Trading, establish her as a trusted expert in European energy market dynamics, developing sophisticated models to evaluate price trends and anticipate hedging needs.

Lucía holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI) and is trilingual in Spanish, English, and French. Her profound knowledge of applying information technology and data models to portfolio management ensures an advanced commercial strategy tailored to market dynamics. Thus, her work focuses on both shaping the future of renewable energy investment and maximizing financial performance.
